Founded in 2023 in Brooklyn, NY, The 2nd Store provides comprehensive services in appraisals, archiving, and auctions. Established by Christopher Baldwin, who began his career at one of the industry’s leading auction houses, The 2nd Store grew out of his own private client services working with artists and collectors to archive and catalog significant collections. Recognizing the needs of his clients to move beyond preservation and bring these collections to a wider audience, along with their desire to work with a fellow artist and collector, Christopher launched The 2nd Store.

With a background in Art History and a lifelong passion for collecting, Christopher brings over eight years of hands-on experience in the art market. After five years of independently sourcing and reselling fine art and collectibles, he spent three years honing his expertise at one of the world’s leading auction houses. Now, as the founder of The 2nd Store, he combines a deep understanding of art appraisal, archiving, and auctions to offer a refined, trustworthy experience for collectors and sellers alike.
